Identified Technologies is a startup in Pittsburgh which is developing a self-piloting drone to automate land surveying and aerial mapping.

While I was at Identified, I helped develop and construct an autonomous, self-capturing, battery swapping docking station for a quadcopter.  I was the  mechanical lead for centering and aligning aspects of the drone capture device.  This involved using SolidWorks, DFM and rapid prototyping. You can see the operation of the mechanism I developed from 00:30 to 01:00 on the video on this page.

I also helped the team with other random tasks in a startup, such as reliability testing with the dock and quad, small mechanism design for the battery swapping mechanism, and troubleshooting with literally everything.
